September events

29/8/2013

Not strictly just September, but the end of August too!

Click on the coloured text in the blog for links to other sites and more information about all the events listed here!

Tomorrow I'll be at the regular Friday market at the Ebba Centre in St Abbs.  The forecast is for a fine sunny day, there are minke whales feeding off shore and harbour seals are around too, the gannets and gulls are all feeding off the glut of sand eels and shoals of mackerel just off shore - most spectacular viewing.   On sale in the market there will be fresh seafood, charcuterie, herbal potions and brews, hand made chocolates, soya candles in beautiful china cups, hand turned wooden bowls, plates & coasters made using Scottish Borders wood, scarves, bags & jewellery and then all my yarns, patterns, buttons, needles & hooks & ready made accessories.  How can you miss it?

Saturday 31st August sees me taking a new stand in the Buttermarket in Berwick upon Tweed.  There is a regular Saturday market in Berwick and the Buttermarket is where you will find lovely hand crafted items, music, books, herbal potions & brews and now my lovely hand spun yarns and all my buttons, notions and accessories!

Friday 6th, 13th and 20th all see me at St Abbs market
Saturday 7th and 21st at Berwick upon Tweed market
Saturday 14th September at Berwick upon Tweed craft fair in the Guild Hall as part of the Heritage Open Days programme

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th travelling further afield to Skipton in Yorkshire for the Yarndale 2013 event, so no St Abbs as we will be driving down.

I've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.  The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
