The Edinburgh Yarn Festival on 16th March 2013. I'm really looking forward to having a stand at this inaugural event in Edinburgh. The girls who are organising it are really enthusiastic and motivated to make the whole thing a success and I'm right behind them! Spread the word and let's get the world visiting Edinburgh next March 16th. I'll be updating with links to other stall holders as I get news of them so please keep coming to the blog to check things out.
Well, we haven't even finished this year and plans are already afoot for 2013. My new diary just arrived with our postman Earl this morning and here's the first event to go inside it.
I'm having a stall at the Craft Fair at the Cafe Camino in Edinburgh this coming Saturday between 10am and 5pm, see the poster below for more details. The Cafe Camino is St Mary's Cathedral, Little King Street, Edinburgh, EH1 3JD (it's just behind John Lewis' department store) and absolutely central.
Sadly it turned out to be a bit of a non-event.... I've been busy designing and making things with crochet recently and have just uploaded my lastest pattern for crocheted baskets onto my Ravelry database, just click on the photo above to go to the pattern information and if you really like the design, you can also buy the pattern on Ravelry. Just in time to make gifts for Christmas! If you want to buy a ready made basket, then please use the contact form here to check what I've got left. The baskets are all designed and crocheted by me, some using my very own hand spun yarns, all made from very different yarns - some rustic Herdwick and Swaledale, others from smooth Wensleydale, Jacobs, Shetland and Bluefaced Leciester, they range in size from a couple of walnuts to a bag of apples!
A liitle amendment to the date of the Hawick farmers market, I wrote on my leaflets that the market was on the 14th December, when in fact it is on the 21st December, so I hope that I'll see you all then. The Wool fair in Alnmouth last weekend was wonderful and everyone had a great time, exhibitors and viewers alike, we had lots of very positive feedback and hope to do it all again next year. We are now looking out for likely venues to hold another event so if you have somewhere in mind in the Scottish or Northumberland Borders that you think would be a suitable venue, then please get in touch. The links to the other exhibitors below in the previous post will remain active, so please visit them and see what wonderful work they have on offer. |
JennieI've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon. The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
