I still haven't got around to taking photos of my handspun yarns, I've got a list here that you can look at. I've noted the breed of sheep/animal, the yarn length, suggested needle size and price in euros. If you are interested in buying any yarn, use the contact form here and I can email you photos.
I've updated the button page after the la Rochelle expo. The buttons sold like hot cakes, but it seems that folks liked buying lots of different buttons, not sets, so now you can do that too here. I will be modifying the buy now buttons, but for now if you do want buttons, please follow the instructions on the button page.
The expo at la Rochelle was great fun and the three days whizzed passed so quickly. I was very busy spinning and chattering to lots of people about sheep and wool and knitting, spinning etc. I even managed to show a few of the local girls from a knitting club/cafe tricot how to spin with some homemade drop spindles that Steve made for me. I do love a show!!
I recently started a knitting cafe just to meet some fellow knitters and we have met a few times now, it's always fun and we have had such good weather recently that we have been able to sit outside - a real bonus. A good cuppa and a nice slice of cake go down a treat when you've been busy knitting and chatting. Even better when someone else makes it and washes up afterwards too!
Finally, I've just finished designing this little sleeveless pullover using the new Moondance wool for Margie at www.moondancewools.com. As I've said previously, Margie has her own flock of Shetland whethers which she keeps just for the fleeces, they really do have a wonderful life! As a spinner and knitter herself, she selects only the best parts of the fleeces for spinning so her yarns have a great feel. This time, she has had the wool spun with a tweedy fleck and it looks lovely. It's a really lively yarn. Try some! You can buy the yarns using the link above to Margie's website and read more about her lovely products. The pattern for this design will be available here shortly, together with a waistcoat using the same cable and rib formation. Watch this site....
