The buttons, needles, crochet hooks, patterns and ready mades all need a once over too - and now the weather has take a massive turn for the better I'm being drawn to the garden as well.
We might be in Scotland but we've sat out twice this week and eaten lunch in the garden it has been so mild and sunny - and no - we didn't have our coats on! Seriously though, the snow drops have just about finished, the crocus too, the daffs are actually in full bloom and we have bright red tulips flowering under a just about budding open plum tree!
Anyway a few dates for the diary if you want to catch me out and about - as ever, just click on the coloured text to go through to the website for the event/organisation mentioned.
Most Saturdays for the next 3 months or so will be spent in the Buttermarket at Berwick upon Tweed, between 9am and 4pm ish unless I'm tempted to go the Kelso Farmers' Market on the 4th Saturday of the month!
I'll be at the Duns food and craft market on Wednesday the 26th March at the Volunteer Hall in Duns between 10am and 4pm
We are holding some crochet and felting workshops in the ST Abbs Visitor Centre on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th April for the Woolscape Project. There will be more workshops planned throughout the spring and summer and into autumn, we just have to put our heads together to work out when!
The St Abbs Friday market starts again on the 11th April, so I'll be there most weeks unless I'm away at a wool event, we have a two day event at Easter on the 18th and 19th April and we are popping up as a market at the Village Hall in Etal on Easter Monday, the 21st April.
You will see us at the Milfield Heavy Horse Festival at Milfield on the 4th May and then
on the 24th May we are going to be at the Highland Wool Festival in the Auction Mart at Dingwall near Inverness - heading north for the first time this year - yippee!
I think that will do for now, although I know that I will be at Woolfest in Cockermouth on the 27th & 28th June, Wool on the Wall in Greenhead on the 13th July, at the Edinburgh Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers open day on the 16th August at Broughton Village Hall, the Glendale Show at Wooler on the 25th August, Yarndale in Skipton on the 27th & 28th September, the Kendal Wool Gathering in Kendal on the 10th to the 12th October and back to St Abbs for our very own Wool festival on the 24th October!
