October and beyond

4/10/2013

Well, we did Yarndale!  A fab festival with a huge turnout, so much woolly loveliness to squish and squeeze, I managed a couple of purchases, but we were so busy I didn't really get a good chance to see most of what was happening.  We sold out of buttons completely - but replenishments were waiting for us when we got home - just in time for The Kendal Wool Gathering next weekend!  So we have plenty stock for all our October events.

Our schedule for October is as follows - catch up with us if you can!

Saturday 5th October - the Buttermarket at Berwick upon Tweed between 9am and 4pm.  Come along to this famous border town and see what goodies are on offer in the Buttermarket - Slightly Foxed books, images and music from Mike and Melissa, herbal potions, lotions and remedies from Inge and new stall holders arriving each week to join in the fun.
Saturday and Sunday 12th & 13th October - Kendal Wool Gathering at Kendal - click on the above link for more information about this new event which promises to be a great start to Wool Week.
Saturday 19th October -  the Buttermarket at Berwick upon Tweed between 9am and 4pm
Friday 25th October - St Abbs local producers market between 10am and 4pm
Saturday 26th October - Kelso Farmers Market in the square at Kelso between 9.30am and 1.30pm
Thursday 31st October - Etal Village Hall between 10am and 3pm - as part of the Halloween festival - spookiness abounds...!
Friday 1st November - St Abbs local producers market between 10am and 4pm
Saturday 2nd November - St Abbs Wool Festival (yay!) between 10am and 5pm see link here for more information and updates on stall holders.
Sunday 3rd November - the Mill Fayre at the Poldrate Centre in Haddington, East Lothian.

I think that's quite enough for a month...still it is the run up to the festive season - so come along and do your present shopping at any of these events.

I've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.  The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
