The sea is green, Milldown beach, 26/4/2015
The sea at Milldown beach is so variable - this time it looks just like my spinning and felting fibres "The sea is green".   I've spun lovely yarns and done some felting with these fibres and they look great - photos to follow....

and so to the diary dates for May 2015.  We are up and down the country this month, from over the border and Hadrians Wall dipping into England, then later we go as far to the north-west as we can on mainland Scotland  - up to Cape Wrath....can't wait!

For all events, just click on the coloured text to find more information.
Wednesday 6th May - 10am to 4pm at the Duns food and craft fair at the Volunteer Hall in Duns - lots of lovely local produce and hand made crafts plus a cup of tea and probably a scone...
Fridays 8th & 15th May - 10am to 4pm at the St Abbs market in the Ebba Centre, St Abbs - more locally produced foods, arts & crafts.
Saturday 16th May - 10am to 4pm at the Stocksfield Gathering of the Guild of spinners weavers and dyers - although we are assured that everyone is welcome to join in the fun!  Stocksfield is just off the A69 between Prudhoe and Corbridge.
Saturday 23rd May - starting at 9.30am - it's the Highland Wool Festival at Dingwall in the highlands of Scotland - it's the second year of the event and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone again - a chance to meet up with people from the furthest reaches of the mainland and the islands and to see what inspires them to create with wool - beautiful just!
Thursday 28th May craft and local producers market  - between 10am and 4pm at the Heatherslaw Mill on the Ford Estate in Northumberland. There are celebrations this year for the mill, with over 700 years of history there will be plenty going on.
Friday 29th May back to St Abbs for our local market in the Ebba Centre, between 10am and 4pm.

I've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.  The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
