May

2/5/2014

Just enough time to give the diary dates for May - out and about all over the place this month.

I have a new stock of lovely wooden buttons, lots of lovely handspun yarns - humbugs and natural whites, greys, browns and blacks are my favourite things to spin at the moment, many bamboo knitting needles, both straight and circular, colourful aluminium crochet hooks in all sizes and my new thing to try out is glass seed beads for embellishing all those lovely beaded knitting and crochet patterns, so come along and say hello at the following events:

As usual, click on the coloured text for links to home pages to find out more about all the events.

Starting with the St Abbs Friday Market today, 2nd May

Saturday 3rd May - the Buttermarket in Berwick upon Tweed, the forecast is fine with a little southwesterly breeze blowing, so it should be a good day to take a walk around the city walls.

Sunday 4th May - The Kailzie Wildlife Festival at Kailzie Gardens near Peebles - on the road with the St Abbs Woolscape Project and Georgia from the St Abbs Visitor Centre - come and see us and find out how to get involved in creating the Woolscape for St Abbs.

Friday 9th May back for the regular St Abbs Market
Saturday 10th May at the Buttermarket in Berwick upon Tweed

Friday 16th May St Abbs Market
Saturday 17th May Berwick upon Tweed Buttermarket

Saturday 24th May sees us all the way up to the Highlands for the first Highland Wool Festival at Dingwall near Inverness, our first foray to the north and we are really looking forward to it.

Then it's back to St Abbs for the Friday market on the 30th May.

I've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.  The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
