After Woolfest 2013

Well that was fun!  Woolfest 2013 was wonderful.  The whole event was so well organised and so full of wolly wonderfulness that most people were wandering around with their bottom jaws somewhere around their knees!  I managed to have a quick look around at what was on sale and managed to buy myself some new bobbins for my spinning wheel, some lovely Wensleydale fleece to make a seat cover for my spinning stool from Shelagh and John at West End Farm.  The fleece is stunning and I can't wait to dye it and sit on it!

I also bagged myself some Qiviut fibres from one of the musk-ox at the Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland and which I got from Hedgehog Equipment.  I can't wait to see how it spins up.

And that was it, apart from saying hello to people I've met over the last year or so.  Lovely memories though...and the bears are always willing to give a helping paw on the stand!

I've got a really busy month coming up, so here's a brief note of where and when you can find me.
Starting off tomorrow between 10am and 4pm I'll be at the Ebba Centre in St Abbs - seen from the cliff top walk here - for the local producers market.
Then next Friday - 12th July, same time, same place.
Saturday 13th July Kelso Farmers' Market in the town square in Kelso between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
Sunday 21st July at the Coldingham Gala in Coldingham
Friday 26th & Saturday 27th July the Border Union Agricultural Show at Springwood Park, Kelso  - here's a little link from the Berwickshire news about the woolly part of the show.... wool showcase...
Then Sunday 28th July at the Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival at Eymouth.  And then I'm going to put my feet up for a couple of days!

I've been knitting and designing for a long time and don't think I'm going to stop anytime soon.  The inspiration just keeps coming, there is always a new technique to learn, a new yarn to try out and so many knitters out there in the world sharing their tips and secrets that it's sometimes hard to know what to do next.
