Knitting kits
The yarns in the kits have been chosen for the stories they can tell. There are fantastic wools from the British Isles, in natural tones and coloured with plant dyes - Herdwick and Swaledale from the Lake District and the Yorkshire Moors, fabulous rainbows of colour grown, spun and dyed from Shetland sheep in the Shetland Isles, fairytale colourful recycled silk yarns from southern India, hand spun by women's co-operatives using the waste fibres collected from the sari weaving mills... each yarn spins it's own story.
Each kit contains either a single pattern or a set of patterns created for that yarn type, enough yarn to make it up (with usually a little bit extra for your stash) plus any buttons, zippers or other embelishments or accessories required to make up and the right sized needle so you can get started knitting straightaway. If you like the pattern but the kit doesn't show up in your favourite colours, drop me a line and if I have the yarn colours you like, I can custom make a kit for you. There are new kits coming on line all the time, I just have to create the designs....

Herdwick & Swaledale beanie kit
Contains 70 grams of Herdwick and Swaledale pure new wool in at least 6 colours and a pattern for a beanie hat in one size.
Shetland wool kitsAvailable in 2 sizes (75 and 200 grams) and 9 colourways, with a copy of 7 of my Shetland designs included, plus felting notes and instructions (as shown on the pattern pages). Pure new 2 ply Shetland wool. Kits contain between 20 and 60 different coloured yarns and two bamboo circular needles - one 120cm long and the other 50cm long, both size 4.5mm so you can start knitting straight away!

Contains 300 grams mixed Herdwick and Swaledale yarns together with all the Herdwick & Swaledale patterns shown on pattern pages, plus 4 buttons to make either the cushion cover or for the moebius bag... or perhaps a couple of hats and a pair of gloves...
