Recycled sari silk yarn, sari silk & banana mixed yarn and banana fibre yarn
These beautiful yarns are produced by women's co-operatives in southern India. They are made from the waste material from the silk/sari weaving mills. The women hand spin these bright colourful yarns by hand. They are lovely to work with and very versatile in their use. They are sold in hanks of 100 grams weight, between 80 and 100 metres length of yarn per hank. One hank will make a beanie hat or a pair of fingerless mitts or a simple scarf or even a moebius scarf. The yarns all cost the same - £5 each!! Postage is £1 per 100 grams, making a total cost of £6 per 100 gram hank. Please note that this price is for postage in the UK only.
